Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in whom we trust and believe. We know the Lord to be our healer, provider, justifier and redeemer. We know that His Word will never change. This letter is to address the growing concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19) that seems to have the attention of everyone in our community.
At this time, we have no plans to cancel any of our scheduled services or fellowship gatherings at Saints Home COGIC. We have been prayerfully monitoring the situation for further developments.
Please accept this reminder that standard health etiquette is always appropriate:
Cover your mouth, preferably with a tissue, when coughing or sneezing.
Regularly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Communicate these standards with your children and family to protect yourself and others.
If you have a weakened immune system, one of the most effective things you can do to safeguard the health of yourself and others, is to stay home. If you are experiencing symptoms like coughing, sneezing, fever, nausea, shortness of breath, body aches, or any type of flu-like symptoms, we will understand if you stay home. We will agree with you in prayer for your healing and recovery.
During this time we have already increased the sanitation of the common areas of the church. In addition to soap and water, we will also have disinfectant wipes for your use.
While in service we will practice social distancing which includes that we not ask you to hug or touch your neighbor, nor give high-fives or shake hands, etc. As the wellbeing of everyone is our concern, we ask that you continue to pray for the complete recovery of all who are affected by this, and that the will of God be done in their lives.
In His Service,
Elder Paul D GrimesPastor, Saints Home COGIC
